Nicole Payseur subscribes to the mischievous side of yoga. The playful Ganesh inspires her to removes obstacles to ease students into poses they never imagined possible. She pays homage to her main teachers: Sarah Willis, a Rebel Ashtangi and a Richard Freedman disciple: Rama Nina, an Anusara teacher; and Becky Klett, an Anusara teacher. For over 26 years she has been an insatiable yoga practitioner and for the last eight years, she has relished teaching. She blends Iyvengar, Ashtanga and Anusara into a heady elixir of rigor, play and svadyaya (self knowledge). Lila or the Divine Play shapes all that she esteems; consequently, her yoga classes masquerade as play dates with equal doses of joy and athleticism. In a past life, Nicole litigated in Brooklyn, NY where she strove to put mean landlords in jail. Her courtroom strategy improved when she began using pranayama techniques on her opponents. She retired from law and moved to Dallas where she uses her powers for good yoga.
